Last night at The Brighton Centre i was witness along with 5,000 others to one of the great men of our time,LEONARD COHEN.Since the early sixties i have been an avid fan but never got the chance to see him live.For about 20 years he diappeared,went to be a Zen Monk.Then reappeared a few years back and turned out some awesome records,but he never ever went on the road until about three years ago he did a few shows in London but they sold out so quickly i could not go.And it was thanks to my good fiend Liam Brady that i was priviliged last night.People who do not know the man laugh and slit their wrists in mock but i feel sorry for these people because they have completely missed the point.Leonard is old now,73 i think but his songs and poems are beautiful,and last night he truly lived up to everything i ever thought about the man,he was awesome.The crowd adored it,and he played four encores and performed for three hours,not bad in your early 70s.I will die happy now.

Last saturday night we had the first of our planned sat night music shows,with a 30th birthday party for our very own Adriana.Many of you have got to know and love Adriana,as we do here at the Witch.She is the most wonderful,hard working person i have ever met and i can tell you now i would gladly keep her forever given half a chance.She came to me when i desperately needed someone to drive the business forward the way i wanted it to go and nobody could have done that like my Romanian Princess has.She runs the place like it is her own,and she cares for it like its her own baby.Many thanks Adriana from me and Teresa for all you have done for us.
Next Saturday night we have the pleasure of a girl called Francesca Young,who Ian tells me has been signed by a label,so you may be saying the birth of a star,you never know.She plays Piano and sings.
Not much else to report except watch out for some new nights in January.Pie nights,Curry nights and Steak and Fish nights,these nights are to bums on seat nights and will be cheap and cheerful,so roll up roll up and give us a go if you have not already

I suppose one should apologise for the extreme time since i last wrote,its not that i have not been thinking about it,i have,but i have been going to the gym quite a lot and trying to exercise as much as possible so by the time lunchtime comes round i feel sleepy.Christmas approaches now and we will get busier so looking forward to that,we already have bookings from LloydsTSB,Europe Assistance,Mid Sussex District Council,Virgin among many others.Christmas may not be welcomed by many people this year but somehow people always find money for the festive season.
Our Music gets under way this weekend when the Piano Man Ian Sillet is here for Adriana`s 30th birthday party.Then in succesive weeks we have Tom Walker,guitar and voice and Francesca Young piano and voice.I am trying to get in touch with David Ross who is a local lad with a great voice so if anyone has his details get in touch.
Over the last few weeks the premiership is getting interesting with my tip for the title Arsenal beating Manu in a classic game last weekend and Liverpool and Chelsea keeping up their relentless gallop.I really admire Arsene Wenger and what he has done at Arsenal.He has created a dynasty there of amazing young players from all corners of the globe and they are so good so young.He believes if they are good enough they are old enough.
